Week Without Walls Diary: Day 2 =D

Today, I woke up very early, and I took a bath. At around 7 am, I went down to have breakfast. After breakfast, we went straight to KAA museum. KAA stands for Konferensi Asia Afrika. The conference itself was held at 1954, and it results in the deletion of non-aligned movement, it was originally thought by the first president of Indonesia, Soekarno. It involves a lot of countries, and the building is very historical. I learned a lot from the visit, also the staffs were very welcoming and they are willing to answer our questions regarding the museum. After the visit to KAA museum, we went to the distros. There was a street filled with distros, and after we got the chance to do our interview and tasks, we can shop, but the time was very limited, though, so I didn’t get anything from the shopping program. After that we went to Pagoda restaurant, which is a Chinese restaurant near the distros. We had a great lunch, and then we went to the geology museum of Bandung. The geology museum was very complete and it was very historical too. There we can find a collection of rocks, fossils, and even a huge fossil of a T-Rex, though it scared me. It makes me learn so much there, and it was very interesting to learn about the geological thing in Indonesia.
After a historical experience, we undergo an industrial experience. We went to one of my favorite destinations during the whole trip which is C59. C59 is a clothing factory which makes and manufactures t-shirts. After a quick presentation about the history of the company, we went on a trip inside the factory. Here, we can see a lot of things going on, from cutting the fabric to printing the t shirt, which is called as silk screening. Some of us even get to do this too. It is basically done on a canvas and we just need to press and slide the handle so that the color will stick to the fabric. After we print the t-shirt we let it dry, and after it is dry, it was ironed and checked if there was a mistake in the production. Then the t-shirts were folded and packaged. The C59 usually have a mass production, so they produce t-shirts for big companies in a large quantity. A few moments later we went back on track to a factory outlet called Rumah Mode. We went shopping there for 2 hours, and the price there was quite cheap, but the shopping spree isn’t over yet. We got to go to one of the most awaited places to visit which is Paris van Java. It is basically a shopping mall with lots of shops there. We were given around 3-4 hours shopping there, but it just seem to not be enough =( . At around 9 PM we went back to the hotel and we packed our suitcases to go home the next day.
